Writer and Narrative Designer – 2 unannounced projects, ZA/UM (2022 – 2024)
WHAT I DID:
- Researched and written characters’ bios, lore documentation, narrative design documents, branching dialogues,
- Gave presentations about the game’s tone, characters and lore to the core team,
- Communicated with all teams, to ensure people understood our narrative vision and ideas consistently,
- Prototyped narrative design features on Unreal 5 (using Blueprint) with the game design team,
- Written tutorials and documentation about the studio’s internal scripting tools (akin to Articy Draft),
- Provided detailed feedback and suggested new features for the studio’s scripting tool,
- Participated in the diversity committee, to educate my peers via public presentations about writing inclusive worlds, and also contributed to meetings and a critical reading library.
